Produits Neptune prioritizes the use of durable, high-quality materials and innovative technology in crafting its products, aimed at reducing the time required for cleaning and maintenance. Nonetheless, ensuring proper and regular maintenance remains crucial for optimal performance and longevity.

Bathtub & Shower Maintenance

To ensure that the acrylic and polymer surface of your Produits Neptune bathtub and shower remains protected, it is recommended that you clean it only with a non-abrasive liquid bathroom cleaner such as liquid Spic and Span. You can also use a detergent that is specifically formulated for acrylic. Avoid using any abrasive or harsh cleaners that may damage the surface.

To protect a copper finish, applying a coat of wax to the surface is recommended. Most wax-based products contain natural or added UV filters to protect against deterioration of color and finish. Wax should be applied as often as necessary, depending on use. Using a cleaning or polishing product specially designed for copper products is recommended. A mild soap, such as washing-up liquid, and warm water can be used for cleaning. It is best to use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth and avoid abrasive cleaning pads or products. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a clean, soft cloth. Acidic cleaners like lemon juice and vinegar will strip the antique finish from copper. Mixtures containing acidic chemicals should be avoided to preserve the finish. Epsom salts or bath salts should not be used in copper bathtubs, as they tarnish and corrode the copper.

Solid Surface has a nonporous surface, which makes it resistant to stains, scratches, and discoloration. To keep your new Solid Surface tub in good condition, simply wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth after each use. Most dirt and dust will come off with clean, warm water. For a more thorough cleaning, use a mild cleaner such as gentle dish soap. Avoid products that contain abrasives, acids, or ammonia.

Maintain the cleanliness of your tub by regularly using a non-abrasive cleaning spray, cream-based cleansing agent, or mild dishwashing soap.
Opt for cleaning products specifically labeled as "safe for acrylic" to ensure compatibility with your tub's surface. For tough stains, consider using pure vinegar; if necessary, escalate to 99% alcohol.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scrapers, metal brushes, or harsh tools that could potentially scratch or damage the surface.
To remove plaster residue, delicately scrape it off using a plastic or wooden spatula wrapped in a damp cloth.
Exercise caution when incorporating therapeutic products like bath oils, salts, and bubble baths, as they could potentially compromise your tub's finish.
Prior to use, carefully review the product instructions and conduct a patch test on a small area to ensure compatibility.

Door Maintenance

Ensure the cleanliness of your shower doors by giving them a quick wipe after each use. Utilize a squeegee to efficiently remove water and soap residue from the interior surfaces.
For areas with hard water buildup, spray a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water onto the door before wiping it down.
Regularly maintain your shower door track by wiping it with a dry cloth after each shower to prevent the accumulation of moisture and grime.
Keep an eye on the condition of your shower door gaskets, horizontal and vertical. If you notice any tears or discoloration, it's time to replace them.
Shower door gaskets are readily available, but ensure you select the correct model for your shower. Refer to your purchase invoice for model details and compatibility.

Mass-Air Massage System Care and Usage Guidelines

If your Produits Neptune bathtub is equipped with either a Mass-Air or Activ-Air therapeutic system, most of the routine maintenance is taken care of by the electronic control module. This module has a built-in automatic drying cycle that eliminates the need for any extra maintenance. The cycle begins 20 minutes after the blower stops and removes all stagnant water from the air jets, return valves, and piping, keeping them dry. If the bathtub is used without activating the system frequently, it must be momentarily activated to initiate the drying cycle.

Clean the product following the same guidelines as outlined for a standard bathtub (refer to the instructions above). No additional specific maintenance is necessary.
For the jet system, an automatic jet dry cycle activates for 30 seconds to dry the jet covers after the system has been in operation for 20 minutes.
After emptying the bathtub, activate the blowers for 30 seconds to dry the jet covers if you've bathed without using the whirlpool system or if the bathtub remains filled with water for more than 10 minutes after the system has been deactivated.
Many of our systems include an automatic drying option that is already programmed.

Whirlpool Care and Best Practices

Maintain the cleanliness of your whirlpool system by performing monthly cleaning of the piping and pump.
To do this, fill the bathtub with hot water up to two inches (5 cm) above the jets, ensuring the temperature does not exceed 104°F/40°C.
Add either whirlpool piping cleaner or 2 cups of dishwasher powder as the cleansing agent, then activate the whirlpool system for 10 minutes. Once completed, drain the bathtub.
Rinse the system thoroughly with cold water, running the system for an additional 10 minutes while keeping the air controls turned off.
Avoid using dishwashing soap as a substitute for bath soaps, as its high-foaming nature can lead to excessive suds that may clog your whirlpool system.
